The reason we suggest getting a device with seamless child mode is user confidence. Most untrained or minimally trained users will not know that they can use the AED on the child without child mode and the risk is that they don’t use it when they should. Some devices require changing pads and inserting a key to be used on a child, again an unnecessary distraction. If you can afford it then buy a device with seamless integrated child mode.
